The Bardic Teaching Begins!!!
Greetings!!! So today was my first day teaching!! And I loved every minute, even when the class was acting up a bit!  :)   Today was also my first day as tutor of Clarsach at the Feis near where I live, up in Thurso. A Wandering Bard begins to Teach
As mentioned before, I’ve been asked to start tutoring clarsach at a Feis nearby, and giving lessons to beginner’s on how to play. The first day is this Saturday, 19th, and I am really looking forward to it!! Although a little scary at first, teaching is not that bad, you must have confidence in yourself. I will be giving a few lessons each Feis day, depending how many wish to learn....

I play the clarsach or Scottish harp as it’s otherwise known, and I have played for around ten years now. I have three of varying sizes and strings, and it is a small collection compared to some I know, but it is only three so far. My first harp, has 19 strings, of gut.
