Shadows pool softly in hollows of skin,
And flow from the places where fingers have been;
She hungers to know his low music again,
But the night is a harpstring pulled tightly, and thin.
The silks in her chamber are cold as the air,
And the bolster beside her, unbearably bare—
She closes her eyes, and she looks on him there,
With his arm round her waist, and the moon in his hair.
But the dawn is a ship that comes, ghostly and grey,
On the tide of the morning to bear him away,
And the unraveled dream gives its threads to the day,
Like the strings of a harp left too lonesome to play.
Shadows pool softly in corners and halls,
And silence hangs heavy from tapestried walls
But she knows the low music the instant it falls,
For the night always sings when it answers his call.
And no dream that might fade is it falls with her there,
With his arm round her waist, and the moon in his hair,
He has cradled his harp with the tenderest care,
And the night swells to life with the music they share.

Had a wee trip back in time today with music we used to listen to when growing up, and songs parents used to always have on.
Here’s one of them, ‘Black Velvet’ by Alannah Myles. Brings back memories
A soft crescendo of silver tones
floating through the air.
The silken, smooth and quiet chords
like Autumn breezes, angel’s hair.
The mahogany arch and gold-hued pillar
stand together as one,
While the tight-drawn threads of moonlit glass
glisten and dance in the fading sun
A nameless man embraces them
by his hands they ring
But it is his skill and spirit
that truly makes them sing.
A group of silent listeners
watch together in awe
as the dream begins to ebb away
the music’s epilogue
As he stands, bows once, and steps away
the audience applauds
to the man who made their souls breathe deep
and his silent, crescent harp.

rinoa11 answered your question: What music should I learn for clarsach?
If you made sheet music, I would love you forever. Srsly.
Maybe, we’ll see, depends on the music really, and I am not that confident of my skills in writing music down lol
Sites like http://ichigos.com/ and http://josh.agarrado.net/music/anime/index.php?startswith=K help though, because you can alter the piano music to fit. :D
I’m looking to learn and record more anime and game music, but I need suggestions on where to start.
Tell me your fave themes etc. and I’ll see if I can put them onto harp. Then I can post them back up here so you can see the results.
Thanku! :D

I do not want the snow to fall,
To add another disappointment to the ones I already hold,
These that sit desolate, upon my lap,
To mock me with their distinctive lack
Of all that I dreamed of, and all that I hoped,
Would happen this month, this year, this life.
Some wishes of mine, although delayed may yet
Perchance still occur,
But yet, those that sit still and silent, all the more
Make clear the lost hopes I was yearning for.
The snow hides all under its thick coat
Of white that freezes, and hides my hopes,
While yet still displaying clear,
My disappointments at the start of the year.
LOL maybe I’d want to learn to drive quicker if this WAS the test! hahaha
