AND THEY WERE PERFECT PARENTS TOO!

They were fiercely proud of their children’s accomplishments.

They played together as a family.

They went to school plays, parent/teacher interviews, and helped with school work.

They co-parented, Gomez was just as active in raising their children as Morticia was.

When their children wanted something that they disapproved of, they were disappointed but relented because it would make them happy.

Plus, all TV married couples kind of hate each other and argue 90% of the time for the sake of comedy, but these two have always seemed to be forever and always in love, which is kind of sweet.

And if that’s only possible because they’re weirdos, what does that say about us?

Reunions and thinking

About a week ago we had our unofficial primary school renunion, all the friends we used to know there, years ago…

And all I could do was feel strange, and a little out of place. It’s not just that it’s been years since I’ve seen alot of them, some I’ve seen fairly recently. But it was how little they had changed, and how much I had. They were essentially still the girls they were when they left highschool, they settled here and all have kids or are married. Even though I moved away for a year, ever since I left high school I’ve been changing, finding out who I am, and where I want to be in life.

It’s like I don’t know them anymore. And they couldn’t see I’d changed. They still acted like we were back there in primary school again, the same music tastes, the same hair, the same everything. It’s not that I’m saying it’s a bad thing, it was just strange to discover, and I can’t quite get my head around it yet.

I had fun that night, we smiled, danced a bit and played silly games. But it still feels strange to me. -I’ve lost track of where I’m going with this too.- meh

The scary thing is, everyone that has been to a con has a story of things like this happening at least once. Every Single Person. It doesn’t matter what you’re dressed as or even if you’re cosplaying. Boundaries seem to go out the window somehow and people make up their own rules about what they think is “permitted” whether that’s other people at the con, or the general public that wander into areas they’re not supposed to be in. This Shouldn’t Happen.
